ECU wiring
Ok, I'm going to install an autometer dual pillar gaugepod with a/f meter and fuel pres. I don't have a helms manual so bear with me as I try to figure out a good wiring plan... First of all, these are the pinouts for a vafc install, but it's got all the connections I'm going to need i think.
Anyways, to get 12v switched to the gauges, is the part on the pinout labeled 'signal power' what i'm looking for? Where should I grab my power from?
Should I run ground wire all the way to the ecu or is it ok to ground it somewhere on the driver's side under the dash? And I'm assuming its ok to splice the power/grounds together by the pillar and just run one wire for each to the ecu, but I dont really know, so any input on this would help a lot. Thanks!
