i have searched but didnt find a thread that answered this question.

i have a 97 v-tec prelude type SH. i want to upgrade my ECU. i either want to replace the entire ECU or just get a chip for it. i want to know what is the best chip/ECU i can get that i will still be able to pass emissions with. or i want one that could possibly be swapped out with the stock ECU easily so that ill still be able to pass emissions. thanks.

Although i've never heard of munster - i was under the assumption we(as in all of indiana) don't have emissions..............

Second, what mods do you have done?

Third, don't ever buy a chip unless you have one specifically made for your vehicle(tuned and everything).

And you can't "swap" ecus.................get an AEM EMS or something.....they have some GReddy Ultimate out - might want to look into that - i don't know much about that at all.

 

i dont know about where you live but i definitely have to go get my emissions tested every 2 years. i know 2 years is a long time, but i really dont want to have to worry about it when emissions time comes around. i have only had the car for 2 months and have only had the chance to replace the exhaust, headers, and intake. can you explain what you were saying i should get a little more? thanks

 

I say get an AEM EMS or something.

I live in Indianapolis - you should move here or something.......i'm sure emissions suck.

It'll be so hard to pass emissions with anything.
