ECU???????

What is the stock ECU in a 2001 lude? Does the ECU have to be reset if it is removed from a wrecked car( car still ran perfect after wreck)? Thank you to anyone that can help.

stock is a p13. the ecu will reset with no power in a wrecked car.

p5m is OBDII 97-01

Thank you for your help. But do I need to physcaily reset the ECU or will it reset itself?

If you removed it from a car, then it probably will reset itself.
