Default I Hate these brakes

Im having a problem with my drivers side rear caliper, after changing my rotors, pads and painting my calipers(RED) last fall my drivers side caliper paint was chipped away and alot more faided then the others. So after taking the wheel off i noticed that the caliper would move toward me and away from me but the 2 bolts holding the calpier to the braket were tight, what did i do wrong when installing the caliper?

the movment back and forth looks to be about the same gap as the brake shim would be, do i need the shim in there?

hmmm.. without seieng it, it seems like the caliper bracket isn't bolted down as tight as it should be. check that for tightness... blees teh brakes maybe.. I'm not exactly sure what you mean it's doing... the calipers shoudl be tight to the pad.. with or without the shim. think about it.. as your pad wears, the brakes still hold the pad tight...
