My car has 85k miles and i have no rust w/e and I live with NJ weather. So no, it isnt a Honda problem. http://smiliesftw.com/x/captainawesome30.png

I have around 255,000 on my 5th gen, no rust issues. Proper care will go a long way.

Maybe this is wrong, but from what I've heard there was a change in paint used in the mid to late 90s that helped solve the rust problem.

140,000 on the odo and no rust whatsoever. I live in Missouri where it is very humid in the summers.

problem wasn't solved... its just how u take care of the car. i just bought a 5th gen and its all rusted out.

Not all Preludes have the rust problem. Just depends on where about you drive and if the car was wrecked previously in that spot. None of the Preludes I have owned had that problem.

I have noticed that the cancer always starts on Hondas on the quarter panel right below the gas tank fill neck, be careful when filling up and make sure you wipe away any spilt gas because it will just run in between the quarter panel and bumper and eat away.
