Default DC header question

Is the top half of a DC header the same for both SH and base model? The reason why I am asking is because a friend of mine is going to give me one for free off of his BASE.

Thanks guys

It will bolt right up to your motor but it is pointless to have. Well, I guess it looks better than stock, but that's it.

(it will NOT bolt up to your existing exhaust, only to your motor)

Well my main reason for getting the top half only is that I have a leak in my current DC header. And I figured that I might as well just get it fixed in the meantime until I get a real header. I did the whole 2.5" mod with the collector and I got some decent gains on before and after tuning. So its not bad for a DC header.

So it will bolt-on without any issues correct?

Nowhere near high enough to even begin to consider buying a DC when the Hytech replica is the same price.

Exactly, this header will not give you good enough gains to purchase at all a brand new price. But if you can get a hold of one for cheap (say between $20-50) then I say go ahead and go for it. Ive had this header on my dd for over 4 years and cant complain. The collector mod was noticeable, but not huge.

When installing a different header should the gaskets be replaced?

Aren't the DC headers smaller than the stock headers?
