We'll have you ever thought of a car running it's own diagnostics??? And taking it to someone to get the codes from your ecu, or doin it by yourself??

Dude you have something wrong with your car!! Don't panic Just take it to a autozone or advance auto to get it checked out!!! Tell them to run a scan on ur car.

taking it for a diagnostics check is how you find out WHY. almost any auto parts store will do it for free and it takes about a minute.

don't panic. . . i could be something as simple as a loose or defective gas cap. take it to autozone, have someone pull the code and start from there. have them print out the diagnostic trouble code and get back on here and post the number. it should be something like example (p0300-random multiple cylinder missfire).

k i went to PEPBOYS and they told me that it was my air intake sensor.. but even they couldn't figure it out. they said it could be a relay of some sort, but after the diagnostic this is what they came up with

</U> RPM METER<U>

300RPM......*..................................... ...............................5000RPM

***P0113 IAT CKT High Input***

<U>VEHICLE STATUS</U>
Vehicle = OK
Number of DTC's = 1
MIL = ON

<U>NON CONTINIOUS MONITOR TEST </U>
Catalyst =Complete
Heated Catalyst =Not Supported
Evaporative system =Not Complete
Secondary Air System =Not Supported
A/C Sys Refrigerent =Not Supported
o2 Sensor=Complete = Complete
o2 sensor Heater =Complete
EGR System =Complete

<U>CONTINIOUS MONITOR TEST </U>
Misfire =Complete
Fuel System =Complete
Comprehensive Component= complete

++ I ALSO CHANGED MY STOCK INTAKE FILTER TODAY.

What can this be? please help me

all pulling the battery cable loose was reseting the computer. the iat is bad the cel will come back on. the only other reason it would throw that code is if the iat got unplugged somehow. btw it is on the driver side of the intake manifold.

the ecu isnt going to throw a check engine light just because it feels like it. It throws a code when there is a problem which needs to be inspected and fixed.
