Default Catch Can Location

There isn't a lot of room under the hood of a 5th gen. I got a Moroso oil catch can and need some location ideas.

relocate the battery to the back. voila you've got tons of room. or take out your cruise control and mount oit on the firewall. or tuck it in that corner by the master cylinder.

OR you can just use a large fuel filter from the PCV to the manifold. that's what i did and it's a helluva a lot easier/cheaper than a catch can.

replace every other oil change and you're good to go...

You can try to move some of the components around. I moved the clutch reservoir to the right and the Injector resistor next to the top portion of the drivers side shock. (4th gen)

For a 5th gen there really isn't much room. There's basicly three options that you can do w/o moving stuff around. One is right behind the drivers side shock tower on the firewall. The other is if you've removed cruise control, in that spot. Or if you have a CAI you can attach it to the battery box like I have. Though it's not the ideal location as you want to try to use the least amount of line possible. Before you install it as well, tie in one of those pull chains (like to turn on and off lights) into the baffling as there really isn't much baffling inside the Moroso can, but there's more in there than others as most have none.

wait so are those breather filters bad on the PVC valve side or the tube that connects to the intake tube from the Valve cover..

I had a breather filter on the Valve cover that there use to be a tube that connected to the CAI. I kept the PVC valve and tube conntecd so was i correct or is that still bad

the setup i have doesn't leave me with much room. once all the piping for the turbo is in it leaves even less.
