Default CAI question

Ok guys this MAY be pretty complicated to explain... I have a 1992 prelude SI and i have a rust spot starting in the engine bay... now explaining where it is will be a problem... its actually right under the OEM filter box... its right next to that black plastic hole where the OEM air box actually gets some air from outside..

here's my question: Is that where you would have to put your hole for a CAI? or am i totally off? im kinda new to CAI's so any help would be nice :D

Yeah that's where you would put the CAI. Some you don't need to cut a larger hole some you do.

cause repairing the rust spot would probably be a lot more expensive....

Just cut out your hole and sand down the rust and seal it.

no it wouldent. grind it/sand it, then paint it with some rustoleum primer or paint and there you have it. Or just get a cai and cut the bastage

all i did was kinda bend the edge of the hole down a little bit and my CAI fit perfectly, then i put a rubber seal around the hole and it worked
