Doing plug change and the threaded part came off of the porcelain below the nut and is stuck in the head. The plug came out fine but for some odd reason that piece came clean off the plug!! Ngk plugs. They only had 1000 miles on them but I just got a tune so wanted to drop in some fresh ones
I tried using a reverse thread extractor on it but it's disintegrating. No shavings came off but you can see the thin pieces so I can't use that tool anymore without making shavings. Does anyone know a trick or a tool available I can use so I don't have to pull the head off??

next time use anti-seize and only torque them enough to seal. They only require like 14 ft lbs

Ive heard some things about the e-z out square extractor but not too sure about it... im still pretty afraid about any metal shavings falling down in there.. i might just take the head off out of fear.

Not sure what the difference is, i think they are just different sizes. Ill try using one to get it out when i take off the head this weekend.

Been busy all week havent been able to get to the car till later today after work..
but there is no spark plug to loosen.. even if i take the head off im going to have to use some type of extractor or something to jam in there to unthread it... ill try the shop vac idea it is pretty powerfull lol so i suppose that will work.

I was thinking about using one of those antenna looking magnets, skinny with a real strong magnet at the end and stick it down there. that with the shop vac i think i should be ok... as long as i can get the threads out

Lol i tried! i picked up an extractor set from NAPA but the extractor set just ripped up the threads on the plug and i got no where... that thing really was stuck to the head.
But the machine shop fixed it, i just have to use a bunch of anti-seize on the plug for cyl1 because if not, the compression blows the plug wire off. But everythings back together and running great. They had to fill the hole with aluminum, then drill out the hole again and re-thread it but it still doesn't seal perfect but nothing the anti-seize wont fix
Oh.. and damn the hydro tensioner on the H-series... lol.. didnt have the stupid tool.
