Ball Joint?
First I have a 94 prelude and it needs the upper front and rear joints replaced so i was wanting to know if the ball joint alone is the same front and rear with out the control arm because Im going to get just replacement ball joints that I can press in and just use my old control arms.. Plus while it is apart I am going to replace the lower ball joints also and didnt know if they were the same front and rear either..
Second I am going to lower the car a inch and a half or give or take some I just wanna tuck the wheels a little closer so I didnt know if I need to get my uppers with adjustable camber in them or not if I could just press in new OEM ones.. so if you have a lowered prelude and still have OEM ball joints in the rear and the camber is still fine it would help me out on what to get..

you can not get just the oem ball joints, you have to get the whole UCA. i dont know if you know that or not. you can get aftermarket ball joints to press in, but i wouldnt buy aftermarket ball joints. i have heard bad thing about them.
OK - I JUST got done doing this on a '93 Si.... Except, I didn't not change the ride height. The upper ball joints are each unique. Ie, all four uppers are different part numbers and they are pretty expensive. I bought mine from Rockauto. The lower ball joints are different on front and rear, but the same on left/right for the front. I didn't need rear, but I think they are different. Also, the lower rear are a bit hard to find and they are kind of a mini control arm. The front lowers were difficult to remove until I rented the ball joint tool and Honda Adapter from OReilly. For what it's worth, the upper control arms trade ease for money. You can swap them in 15 minutes each. The front lowers require more dirty hands and a lot more time. While you are at it, you might check the wheel bearings. There should be NO side to side play. My rear ones were bad. Again - thanks to the OReilly tool, they took only an extra few minutes over replacing brake pads. You have to remove the brake caliper mounts, but it's easy. Oh - you will need a couple big A$$ sockets for the wheel hub bolts. You can rent them from OReilly, or I bought mine. The front was something like 32mm and front was 39mm (don't quote me on the size, but I think it's correct). Anyway, the sockets are 18 bucks each! And the tool to screw the rear calipers back in for new pads is $23... What a rip. You can use a large screwdriver or rent that tool as well.
Good Luck!
