i have a 93 prelude, and i cant get the damn cv joint into the intermediate shaft!!! i cant pull off the hub bolt, because its rusted on. right now im trying to pound it in, with the axle still in the cv joint. i just have to pound it in enough so it will click into the ring. can some one help me!!??
the way i got those spindle nuts off was buy take out the centercaps in the wheels and put the car in gear and lower it back down and i got my breaker bar w/ a 3ft cheater bar and pulled hard and that did the trick... and they were very rusted on

do you mean the intermediate shaft into the CV sliding tripod joint? if you do then I would suggest turing the circlip that is on the intermediate shaft around so that the gap in the circlip is facing down. I find that it makes it alot easier. Oh, also watchout you dont tear the CV boot even slightly, its so easy to do and will cause you so many problems.
I was literally bouncing on a breaker bar to get that nut off! As for the intermidiate shaft, the fsm says to hit it with a hammer. Thats just dumb unless you remove the cradle cause you can't get a good angle on it. I took a bunch of 3/8" ratchet extensions, went over the cradle and then hit it with a hammer. Works much better that way.
