All 5TH gen BASE models the same?
Right now I got gen2 GSR but I am looking to get a g5 prelude. I've been searching the forums and notice people talk about Base vs SH models. I know the differences between the Base and SH but not within Base models.
Basically are all Base models the same (I know engine etc... is the same) such as a/c, cruise, sunroof, basically trim level stuff. I get the impression that all Base models are fully loaded. True or false? Thanks for the help!!

Yes, they're basically all the same....The only thing different would be the color of the car. The names of the color are different between 97-98 and 99-01
just little cosmetic differences. badges here and there, blacktrim around the skirts, front, and rear. interior color within the seats may vary. Like everyone else said, little things

not true. remember the 97 cranks have smaller mains.
if you get down to the nitty gritty and read all the details of the different years and models in the Helm manual then you will realize that there are a ton of differences. but as far as anything major goes, its just the crank really.

your dates are a little off
93-95, H22A1 closed deck OBDI
96 H22A1 closed deck OBDII (just a few more sensors)
97 H22A4 open deck OBDII
98+ h22a4 open deck OBDII larger crank mains
Most parts of the motors are much the same.

thanks again fellas!! Im gonna look for a 98+ base model. One last question...what is exactly the differences between SH and Base body style? I've been looking at the pictures but they look the same. Are the Front ends the same? and the only diff is the rear and side skirts just painted (on SH)?
