Default AEM pullies BET

Ok I bet my freind 35$ that an AEM true time pullies will only give u 5 or 6 HP TOPS.right any1!..he said he gained 14.8 HP just on the pullies he has a automatic..so I bet him cash any1 answer my ? So I can get paid.
His car....
Short ran h22a header and now the pullies..?

I don't see how it would be that much hp. 5 or 6 sounds right. The AEM kit is only the PS and alternator pulley. I've read that if you remove the PS pump you will pick up 6hp alone but thats a different topic.

Tells me he has a better throttle resonse and faster take offs?...can ANY1 vouch this such a thing any 1 have these pullies??

I don't know about taking off faster.... but you can really feel it about 30mph. There is a very noticeable difference in acceleration. I think pulleys are an excellent mod.

My buddy in a civic si says he gets better downshifts...as inna race he keeps up with plenty of people who have bigger engines etc..do pullies acctually help a downshift race,is the HP gained really noticable?

you are totally bass ackwards

pullies rarely help, if at all...i've never seen it as much of a worth mod...i'd rather just pull the a/c and ps...**** with the pullies and a/c might as well just pull the a/c it takes so long to start going
