Default The Acclude is down and wont start!!!!!

OK here is the situation! It was wet out and i was took off slow at the light and when i got to about 4000 rpm i floored it to make the wheels spin just havin fun! well the next thing i know it wont take in 2nd gear. Then the engine just died. i parked the car and tried to start it. it sounded like the car was trying to start and i had power inside the car but it would not crank! i let it sit for a few hours and tried to start it again and got the same result. power but no crank. i think that something got wet and fried but i also think that the timing belt might of snapped. Please give me some help. Thanks

why would you try to start it if the timing belt was broken. ....... if you broke that, be ready to invest in some new valves/guides, and possibly pistons
