Re: (Not_Rice4ws)
this is what i did to help prevent my rust from happening AGAIN:
after i got a new metal panel piece put in. I... 1. took off those rubber things - they just hold in the moisture 2. sanded down the inside lip of the wheel well and the WHOLE wheel well down till i could see the rust. 3. chisled the rust away so the whole wheel well was down to bare metal 4. used rust converter on it(just to make sure) 5. undercoating the whole thing (remember to undercoat where the 2 metal fender pieces are glued together. that's where rust gets in the first place b/c of shitty ass seam sealer that honda uses. 6.then paint the shit back all up or clear coat if you painting the car or leave it like that if you're not painting the car it took me like 6 hours to do both quarter panels but i hope it'll be worth it https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif and when you wash it, just make sure it's dry and not icy, especially in corners and shit. |
Anyone here drive lowered in the winter? I am asking because if I end up lowering it, I dont want to be going around hitting ice chunks and whatnot.

I drove mine last winter watch out for the rust! Its not that bad get some good snow tires lets just say at the local park by my house i was getting very good at controled drifting. It can be fun, and suck all at once. I was too lazy to raise my car which is dropped all the way down on GCs and I usually plowed a good inch or 2 of snow that was always kinda funny.

Re: (WillyG)
I'm lowered about an inch and a half & drive through all the winters up here. You definitely hit ice chunks & stuff, but oh well. **shrug** If I had a front lip I'd probably take it off for the winter to help some.

Re: (Daemione)
im fearing driving my lude in the winter because I know, itll look ugly as hell coming out if the winter! and knowing myself i wont get all the rust fixed beacuse there is always a suspension mod or performance mod I NEED ( https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif ) to do! Ive got the 185 14inch rims that came with the S (S stands for slow) prelude https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
