1st mod?
It would be a toss up between a K&N airfilter or a high flow cat for me. Two relatively inexpensive mods.
Also, with these two mods and my Thermal exhaust..my overall gas mileage has gone up.

Hmmm, I would have to say that my car runs A LITLLE bit smoother now and the throttle feels A LITTLE more responsive. I am not sure if it is mental or not.
However, I did notice, as did others, an increase in the bottomend torque in my 325ci. I never told my bro about it and he asked me why car 325 felt more peppy at the bottomend. I noticed the SAMETHING when I installed it and reset the ECU.
The main thing that I was happy to see is my gas mileage going up. I popped it in...disconnected the battery for 1 min, reconnected the battery, and then let the car idle for 1.5 minutes before I drove it again.
I got my K&N airfilter for like $40 shipped to me. That's the best price I have found anywhere. http://www.performanceintl.com/
Where in Maryland are you from?? I am from Columbia.

I heard that by putting on an intake actually decreases power, low and mid range atleast. How true is this and if you have facts about the difference between a cai and a ram air in terms of power, please share with me.
AEM CAI = loss in torque, but a few extra HP
We barely have torque to begin with!
Get the K & N drop-in filter (My first mod) and if that's not enough for you get the Type S air intake. You'll actually get better low end grunt for everyday driving! You won't even have to get rid of your K & N filter! It's even cheaper than the AEM CAI!
I would also switch to a synthetic oil and better oil filter! I like Red Line 5W30.
The best thing you can do is just keep up the maintenance so you can enjoy your car longer!

either i got a bad set of Kuhmo's or a really good set of re92's because i would have taken the re92's over the Kuhmo 712's i have now anyday. the Kuhmo's break lose much faster and at much lower speeds on corners then any other tire ihave seen for the size. so
with the Kuhmo's at least.
to perelli's.
