Default Wheel compatibilty

Are rims some what compatible with other makes and models, I found a nice set of powdercoated rims off a CBR f3 ,was curious if it would work on a Kawasaki Zx7R What would be some of the noteable differences? Is there a certain size scale to go by? Any help is greatly appreciated- James

That's the bitch about motorcycles, wheels are rarely swappable without a good bit of work and know-how.

Requires new spacers and such...

You'll need to check if the rim widths are the same. And if the spacers fit properly. Also, where the front and rear brake discs line-up with your bike's calipers. There's more that I just can't think of right now.

In the end, it's most likely not worth the trouble. If you like powdercoated wheels, just send yours off to get coated.
