If some butt monkey is tail gating me I simply signal with my hand to stay back. It's worked everytime, even with the aggressive lane changers.

on my old bike i was on a two lane hwy and got stuck behind a slow moving traffic and this ******* in a 350z kept tailgating me. so i pulled over and flicked him off (so did my girl who was on the back) and it surprised him. i think he got the idea that he was being a jerkoff (but ****** still flicked me off )

The major jacket manufacturers should consider putting a big sign on the back of them that says "Stay the **** back!"

Change to a slower lane. Let the tailgater pass.

I've never actually flipped someone the bird while on my bike. 500 lbs vs 5000 lbs is not a battle I'm willing to participate in.

I usually let the person pass, then do the same to them. Then I click up a wheelie and blow pass them splitting the lane......

ok, bullshit aside, I usually let the pass if I'm by myself. If I'm with others, I usually get dumb with testosterone, and tailgate them back, stupid, but gratifying.

Thats my reason for being passive aggressive. If people have the gall to shoot someone in another car over flipping them off, I don't see how they would have any hesitation in running over a bike.

The most memorable tailgating story was last summer. An older Pathfinder was VERY close, it couldn't have been more than 2 car lengths off my rear tire, and I was already doing 40 in a 35. So I pulled off to the shoulder a bit and they tore by, and it was appearant they were a bunch of highschool punks when I saw they're 16yo faces as they leaned out the window and threw their McDonalds cups at me. Fantastic.

I got their liscence plate number and called it into a family friend who owns a DMV in our state. Went to the house, saw the Pathfinder, and proceeded in taking a **** on their hood. Left a little something in shoe-polish on their window about tailgating bikes. I hope it left an impression.

Poo > McDonalds

Wow... I feel almost safe with 2 car lengths.

People who follow too close drive me nuts. I've been rearended 5 times driving/riding in a car in my life. Just back the **** off and everything will be okay. I've gotten to the point where I leave extra room between me and the car in front of me just so I can give the jackass in the car behind me extra time to stop.

I usually will just split around the car in front of me and get as far away from that car as possible. I have tapped the rear brake a tad...just to light up the brake light and that slowed them down a bit.

I've been having thoughts about carrying a few marbles in one of the pockets of my jacket..Just in case there's that one ******* in a cage who will take things too far, and trust me, there's shitload of those in LA. Either marbles or a sparkplug should do the trick for a tailgater......

So they're an ******* who is willing to take things too far and you're going to start chucking **** at their car? Me thinks you'd likely end up in jail or the hospital.

Yea.. you guys gotta remember that it just takes one numbskull on a sportbike to ruin it for the rest of us. Nobody remembers all the good things you've done in life when you're on trial for a mistake you made in just that one second.

This actually isnt the first time...I've been on both sides of the situation...You really wouldnt know unless you've driven and lived in LA...I'm sure its alot different than where most of you come from...And I'm talking about the 10E, the 110, or the 101 N hollywood....I've gotten objects thrown at my car for brake checking some tailgaiter...and i've gotten my car hit by lighters, coins, etc. for tailgaiting people in my car....

Like I said, it was just an idea..Not really sure if I would have the time really to 1)Unzip myjacket 2)find an object 3) and chuck it behind me....All while a car is on my ***.....

You honestly think that a biker has NEVER taken matters into his own hands???? All I gotta say about this post is that its either me or him...And most of the time...I avoid situations like this...I let the dumbass cage pass...but those times I wish I had something to throw at those stupid drivers.....

I have friends who have almost gotten run off the road plenty of times and it usually resulted in the cage loosing a mirror or something a few miles down the road.

Once a friend was two up with his girlfriend on the back and a cage forced them into the shoulder. He pulled over to check on his girl, a few miles down the road they caught the car and proceeded to key the **** out of it at 80 mph

I usually turn around kinda like my my avatar and give them a look. It usually makes them back up a bit. I've given the finger plenty of times but only in situations where I was ready to run right after. I don't feel like having an SUV parked up my ***
