Shifting
ok, I heres my question my friend tipped over my bike yesterday and the shift lever for your foot got bent in towords the bike anyways now when I am shifting at higher rpms it seems like I am grind between gears, is that possible because of the way it is bent, I ordered a new lever but is it because of this. 1 to 2nd is abosolutely horrible mostly when your kinda on the gas.
Hey, you don't happen to have an R6 do you? I've heard they are notorious for 1-2 grind. Supposedly, they're fixed with the newer model, not sure which year. I lowsided my F4i a while ago and bent the shift lever, among other damages. The shifting is still as smooth as usual.

I had the same thing happen (well the shifter got bent)... I ordered a new one from ronayers.com, but before it arrived, I had a friend hammer it out for me. He said that you need to hit it on the convex side of the bend, not to try to bend it back by straightening it out.
A bent lever alone houldn't be causing the problem. Just in case, is the lever free in its entire range of motion? Are you shifting completely with the bent lever? Could it have anything to do w/ your clutch/power application or the clutch lever/cable be out of adjustment fromt he same crash? Just taking crapshots
