I need to get a jacket but I'm low on cash...is this ok ...only $178. Will my motorcycle training course allow this jacket?

but in msf, they'll probably advise you to get a more brightly colored jacket. in other words, anything other than black.

 

In Rhode Island, for the MSF class you don't need a jacket at all. The only requirement is something that is full sleeve. Most of us wore sweatshirts.

That jacket is fine, just make sure it is suitable for the type of weather you will be riding in.

thanks guys, my msf course requires a jacket foot wear and gloves

 

It's my understanding that they can provide some of those things for you, but there is a good possibility that I am mistaken. Any jacket is better than no jacket

 

in california, i only had to have long sleeve. just wore a long sleeved shirt, since i knew we wouldnt be going fast at all and i had been riding for a while by then anyway

 

For the course you shouldn't need anything, for safety in general get one with as much padding as possible with 3mm leather... one that has removable pads/liners is nice also

 

overpriced. msf only requires long sleeve top... aka longsleeve T. I have a spidi net jacket in black if you want it. Much better protection than the agv. Also much better ventilation than the pos JR phoenix while retaining rain and water repellency when desired. Basically I got 2, so one has to go. 42/52 - generic large T size. I'll match the 178 if you want.

 

AGV is good for the price but if you can get tony's spidi for the same price Id go for that. I love my spidi jacket.

Delaware all that you need is a long sleeve shirt....but it always a good idea to wear a good jacket!!!!

 

I just wore a regular winter jacket and they let me ride. Since then i've upgraded to the alpinestars p1 jackets.

 

that jacket will be fine...i wore just my columbia jacket cuz it rained and rained here in seattle were i took the training class...but they recommend you cover all your skin...thats all...you can were long sleeve shirts...but remember that your boots must cover the ankle or they wont let you ride

I think I went in July.. just had a long sleeve cotton shirt and that was ok.. it was damn hot even with just that
