Ahhh...I remember my first time at the track. Had a great time, hope you do too. Keep the sticky side down. Remember to bring lots and lots of drinks. My friends and I thought we brought enough but we had to make a quick run to the store to get even more.

 

wasn't my frist time, very eventful day, and a dreaded ending. will post track report after i calm down.

lets jsut say i had a great day at the track... but there's nothing like getting home all excited to unpack and tell my bro and parents about my day, when i pull in the neighborhood, straps give way, bike falls off the trailer.

DOH. That sucks. But at least it was at a slow speed, instead of on the highway, right?

Yeah and I want to know how the straps give way?

Did the strap break or the buckle break?

I always knot my straps right at the buckle/ratchet then run it back trough the eye of the hook.

******* sucks man, hope the damage isn't too bad

 

damge consists of all the right side fairing, pretty much cracked, headlight shattered but hte tape held the peices together, fairgstay bend, front fair shattered, rear faring cracked.


im contemplating converting to strictly a track bike, but don't know how i'd feel giving up the street riding.

 

What'd you think of the track?

After a few trackdays, you won't miss riding on the street for the riding. The only thing you might miss is the camaraderie with fellow street-riders.

I would think I'd miss riding the country side and mountains and cruising with my bro and friends. Would def not miss riding around town always worrying if the next intersection the cagers will see me or not and also worrying about getting in trouble with the law...
