Taking the MSF is one of the smartest things you can do! LOL When I first pulled my bike out of the parking lot at the dealership (The thing literally had 2.5 miles on it) I must have sat at the intersection for like 2 full minutes before I had collected myself mentally and actually pulled out! Once I passed that first hurdle I took a deep breath and rode around cautiously and confidently. I can only imagine how soon I would have dropped it if I had not learned the fundamentals in the MSF class. My best advice is to really try to pay attention in the classroom portion. Its gonna become boring at points but let your mind absorb all the info that it is presented and youll be a more educated rider because of it!

Actually, me and two of my friends took it the same time back in 2000. I had little experience on street bikes and one used to ride 250's in Japan when he was 16. The other had a '00 Gixxer1000 and was a crazy wheelie expert. Forth gear and **** on the freeways. Anyways.. none of us had our licenses and so we took the class. The dude with the gixxer was like, I bet I can wheelie this muthaphucka. Mind you, these were pos 125's. I was like hell no bitch! There's not enough poke in that ****** to even lift the front wheel off a jump! Anyways.. it was nice while it lasted. He rode it around the whole lot while all of us were clapping and cheering. It was sorry to see him go.
