Default Disk Lock

I've seen the Kryponite Disk Locks and they seem secure at least, so I'm thinking about getting one. Does anyone have experience or opinions on other good security devices on the market?

I already realize that if someone wants my bike, they will take it. Keep the "in the garage" or "house" comments, because both are out of the question.

Disc lock is a good deterrent - just don't forget about it befroe ya ride off (losta people do).

It's what I use when I hafta leave the bike and can't see it - other than that, good insurance

I use one, just watch for Burly men trying to lift your bike off the ground.

I use a rotor lock and keep a cover over it 80% of the time.

I'm at school, so it does a lot of sitting in parking garages, its rather sad

i used a krypto disc lock and a krypo cable to tie it down to a post. i also have a cover that looks like total crap so unless you can see that thats an M1 pokin out the bottom most people wouldnt look twice at it

dont have to worry about that now that i have a garage, but its good peice of mind.

also if you are semi-close to where you park your bike you can buy a cheap baby monitor and put the transmitter in the trunk and keep the reciever with ya when you sleep. those things pick up the smallest noises, so you will be able to hear whatever is goin on around your bike.

i have a scorpio sr i500 two way alarm and a krypto chain.
if i were to add a disc lock, i'd get the xena disc alarm
unless you have an mv agusta f4 or something, i don't think most thieves would want to bother with all that.

A disc lock with a motion alarm is good for alerting yourself that you're about to stupidly drop your bike, in addition to its normal alarm use for theives...
