Default In Depth pic sequence of a highside:

This gif has been making the rounds--it's my friend Al Garcia highsiding in T9 at Chuckwalla. Photographed by Brian @ CaliPhotography, it's an excellent series of pix!

Woah! You can see his eyes get real big when the bike gets sideways. Hats off to the photog and to your friend for being able to walk away.

that's a supremely nice picture burst... props to the photographer and especially his equipment.

These two pictures in the sequence are very telling, you can see him break concentration and focus for the corner as he shifts his eyes from the apex to where he is planning on landing even though he probably hadn't chopped the throttle as yet.

Overall that didn't look to bad to be honest... the bike tumbling because it happened to catch a tire on the rebound sucks though, otherwise it would have just slid for a while.

Good on him for letting go and not flipping *** over tea kettles.

Yeah, he walked away and raced a week later. He's got a small fracture in his leg, and some top end issues on the bike, but still managed a podium in Formula Twins or one of the SV650 classes at WSMC.

Yeah, Brian is a cool guy, one of the main MC/HDPE/Race photogs for the west coast tracks--he charges too much for his work, imo, but after seeing this sequence, I can see why.
