Default CBR 600F2

I am looking to buy my first bike.
I have been looking into the CBR 600F3.

Does anyone have this bike? I am having some trouble finding one for sale.
Around how much would i expect to spend for one?

Any one have any other segestions / recommendations for a bike?

Great first bike. The price can vary depending on quality. You should probably pay around 2 grand.

$2k seems a bit low to find an F3 in good condition, but with the intro of the 600RR, who knows how far down the prices will drop. The earlier F3s (95/96) did not change too much from the F2s (91-94). The later F3s (97/98) had better (IMO) styling, but were still pretty much the same.

You could look into getting a Yamaha FZR600 or a Yamaha YZF600R (not the R6). They're both very capable motorcycles.

Tons of aftermarket support is available for all the above-mentioned bikes. If it was my money, I'd buy the F3.

f3 or fzr600. fzr would be track bike of choice, f3 if only street. Probably the fzr if it was a mix of street/track. fzr would be cheaper and has a stronger aftermarket backing. f3 is very competant all around.

Whats the difference from f2-f3.

And is the f3 worth the extra cash?

http://www.personal.dundee.ac....0.htm

I found this page to be pretty informative. When the F3s were introduced, they had increased compression, new 36mm carbs, new ignition, better cooling, new exhaust and a revised gearbox (this is all from one of the picture/articles...there's lots more, but I don't feel like typing anymore).

I would say that the F3 is worth the extra cash.
