Default Stutter/Shudder electrical problem?

Hello all,

I have a Honda fit with 280,000Km on it so far. Recently, the car starts to shudder or stutter (on acceleration and constant-speed) like it's losing power for a split-second or the engine is acting weirdly. This happens every now and then and not constantly (for example, not on the way to a mall, but on the way back.)

Sometimes it is accompanied by the airbags light turning on but not always.

Before I take it to a garage, I'd like to know if anyone faced this before or has some insight about this problem.

Thank you!

Sounds like the very common coilpack problem and also could be your valves need adjusting if it hasn't been done.

I have a 2007 Fit Sport that just turned 120,000 miles. Same situation, basically. Stutters at highway speed in top gear. No noticeable drop in RPM. Sometimes almost seems to stall when accelerating from a stop.
I'm guessing from what I have read that it is a coil pack problem. True?

Yes that or more likely if there is a stalling problem the valves need adjustment.
