megan coilover help

Default megan coilover help

so my package came in and me and my friend put on the coilovers but today i heard a knocking noise under the hood and it was this? anyone know why its doing this?

that isnt right. you have them installed wrong. i have megans and they dont do that when installed properly. i bet they are hella low like that though haha.

Looks like you are missing the nut on the bottom portion of that rubber bushings.

yeah thats what it was. i didnt take that bushing and nut off the stock strut and just used the top rubber part that sits right under the very top nut. **** rides amazing i really like it

they do ride great. i wish they went another 2 inches lower like every other full body coilover on the planet.

how low can you go? i mead did u reduce the fender gap?

they give about a 2" drop. they level out teh stance so they dont make the rear sag like springs do but i wanted more drop than they give. mine are for sale, im gonna get something else when my tax money comes in.

not too damn low bro! its perfect ride height

i found out what was missing. when you take off the strut. you have one 17 bolt on top in the engine bay and a 19 right under that one with a bushing. you need to put that 19 and the rubber bushing on the top hat of the coilover and then put it back in and apply the 17 bolt thats in the engine bay back in last

Had the same problem
but mines was kinda worse

so yeh
megan did mess up on their part
they shouldve provided instructions or something

who knew you needed the washer and the rubber thing from the stock strut
