Bluetooth hondalink connection error message
I have a new to me 2016 fit EX (only had it for a few days now) and I am trying to activate Hondalink so I can keep up with some of the features in my car.
I downloaded the app, put in my vin number, etc.
I go to link it like all the videos show and I get an error message "unable to connect to mobile device using bluetooth. Please check settings in the Audio unit."
I can't find a single video or article via goggle/youtube search that talks about this issue.
I've rebooted my phone, turn off/turn on bluetooth, re installed the app, unpaired my phone from car
Could it be my google pixel 6 phone?
What more can I do to fix this???
I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out!!
It's paired to my phone just fine for bluetooth music and hands free calling.
I just want to use it for the basic free package for the various things car related.

I had a GK5 for a daily driver for a while, and it was not HondaLink qualified.
CarPlay worked great, and the lane keeping and automated cruise worked great, but I never saw any way to use the HondaLink application.
For HondaLink to work perfectly, you need the car's WiFi modem to be activated, together with the Bluetooth connection.
I think I'm remembering this correctly.
