2010 Fit throwing code P0138
Hey guys. First time poster here. I have a 2010 Fit Sport with 71,xxx miles and the check engine light came on a few days ago. Went to the auto parts store at lunch today to have the code read and it was a
P0138: Oxygen Sensor Circuit high voltage. Bank 1 Sensor 2
I opened the hood and that rubber air scoop thing that's attached to the underside of the hood had come mostly loose. Only 1 of the 4 plastic fastener things were correctly inserted in their hole, and 2 of the fasteners are totally missing.
Anyway, while reading about this code I saw that one possible cause is a leaky air intake. This couldn't be the source of the code could it? I'm not really sure what this air scoop thing does. I couldn't tell where it was supposed to direct air to.
Just wondering if it's worth my time to try replacing the 2 missing fasteners in the air scoop or if I should check anything else before replacing the sensor itself.
Thanks in advance for your help.
