would a transmission from a 88-91 crx fit my 91 sedan?
i have a 91 sedan that needs a transmission replacement. but i’m unable to find any stock transmissions for sale online. does anyone know if a crx trans can just bolt in? the civic has a d16 and id like to keep the transmission as an automatic. i’m also kind of a beginner and interested to learn as much as possible so if there’s anything i left out lmk, ty!
What's wrong with yours? If it is shifting funny or delayed at shifting, you should try changing the fluid first. Only use honda atf.
All the civics/crx 88-91 used the same 4 speed auto transmission with the exception of the rt4wd wagon. When looking for one, check the fluid to make sure it doesn't smell burnt and the fluid is red.

Yes.
Im not familiar with year differences on automatic transmissions, there were some clutch related year differences on manual transmissions, but nothing that would affect bolting on transmission to engine.
Crx auto tranny should be the same as sedan, maybe some gearing difference, doubt it.
