do you have a header,,i bought some cheap header off this guy a while back and when it was time to smog my car,,it didnt pass,,so i took off the header and put the stock exhaust manifold,,passed no problem,,,the mechanic said it was because the header had 2 pipes where the oxygen sensor was and that it was only reading half the exhaust instead of reading the whole exhaust as one,,,i dunno,,thats what he told me

I just went to a local muffler shop and had one installed...make sure its made for your motor. I think mine is made by Catco. I passed with a jdm 4-1 header hidden under a heat shield w/ 1 O2 sensor. (State referree inspection)

If you have an FPR, lean it out a little bit, like 4-5 psi. Retard your timing a lot as well. Also spray some carb cleaner into your TB to clean it out.

adjust your valve lash make sure they are not to tight usually the exhaust valves. did this for a friend and passed the second time, valves where not within specs.

replace the cat and dump in like 2 full bottles of octane boost and you should pass with flying colors.
