were trying to clean up the engine bay in my buddies 91 sohc vtec turbo. there are some vaccum lines running from the canister up to this sensor, and theres also one for the boost gauge that t's into a line that goes between the intake mani and the canister. onto of this sensor theres a plug coming out of it leading into the main harness... is there any way to safely take out the canister without throwing a check engine or anything like that?

yea you can remove it just block off the vac lines on the intake manifold.

Just dont plug the gas vent line on the firewall.
And no codes will show up by leaving the plug unpluged.

Re: (SECURITY)

what about the vaccum line for the boost gauge? should i just run that directly onto the intake mani? can i unplug that sensor so i can lose that whole thing on the firewall too? since there will be no vac lines hooked up it really wont be doin anything....

Beau Gotti 02-19-2006 01:56 PM

id say use the Vac line from the FPR

What about emissions? Does it have anything negative in the regard? How about fuel economy?

It still polutes less then anything from GM https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif
I seen no change in anything, as far as i can tell all it does is run the vented fumes from the gas tank through the motor and we are now just venting into the air.

Its really bad, actually. Hydrocarbons (unburned gas) is really bad for the enviornment, much more so than more burned gas.
