Looks like you'll at least get it done right. That's good. The rex could definitely outpace your accord if you get into it. Not sure what your goal is with it though.

i'm not really sure where ill go with this quit yet, still brainstorming. theres a lot of options motor/trans wise, im leaning towards gettin it running, and going from there but not sure yet. like my main issue is do i want to keep the b16? or go a different route motor wise..hopefully i can have it figured out based on other peoples threads and stuff. going to do heavy research this weekend

Find out what you want to do. I think the most fun thing to do would make it an autocross car. For a passenger, it is much more fun to take turns than go fast in a straight line. And for that, the B16 is a great motor. Just get some tight suspension. The Rex is light, the B16 is a very good autocross motor, and I think that would be enjoyable for your buddy too. You can even get a small turbo or a supercharger system. Keep it around 250~300, don't have to modify the motor at all for that, and keep it as responsive as possible. It would be a very fun car to drive in.

Definitely hash it out with your friend though. See what he wants and go from there. It's a pretty car and the motor is already there.

The B16 LSD or the GSR LSD tranny. You probably don't want the LS since it has long gears. But then again, the long gears with boost might give you a better power band for the curvey track racing. Can't go wrong with a LSD B16 tranny though.
