What year and model?

If it is a 94-97 Accord and there is no Check Engine Light with a trouble code related to the Vehicle Speed Sensor, then it is most likely the speedometer circuit board. You can try to touch up or re-solder the solder joints or just replace the circuit board from a used cluster so you retain your current odometer reading. There are many threads already regarding this issue. Quite common issue with the circuit board.

 

The vehicle is a 2006 Honda CR-V, and the speedo has an intermittent problem sometimes it works fine other times it stops maybe VSS?? mickjc64
