Default lock issues

im currently having some lock issues... at first when i bought the car the keyless entry worked fine along with the power locks.... a month or two later the keyless entry stopped working... so i just used my keys to open the door.... well a few months after the keyless stopped working my power locks stop working... it'll work sometimes if u close the door, but wont unlock/lock the doors with door open and sometimes it dont work at all...
i tried switching the master switch (square thingy on driver side door) to one that works (picked up a cheap CRV doors still worked) but i still got the same thing i also swapped the lock switch and nothing... what else could i check cause i see no fuse for the locks...

that wouldnt affect the actual switch working.
check the fuse under the hood. check the wiring inbetween the door and fender

My girlfriends 97 crv has the same issues, they worked great at first, now using the key to lock/unlock the doors would only lock/unlock the drivers door. So to lock all of the doors you have to do it by pushing down on the locks. Also her brake light comes on randomly, and yes I've checked the fluid and e-brake. Somewhere else I've read that they fixed those same issues by replacing the "electronic modulator" what ever that is. I wouldn't think its the actuator because the driver's side still works. Any ideas on what could be the cause of all this?

Don't change the car because of that! Those
models had problems with water infiltration. You will have to remove a door panel to start with.If the driver,s door lock/unlock mechanism is seizing up and /or the lock unlock switch doesn't work that's what you gonna see.Remove the door panel and do some testing.
