I just picked up a 1999 CR-V with 180k for my 16 year old daughter. On the way home she called me that her key just fell out of the ignition while she was driving and then it was hard to start after that. When we got home she said the radio stayed on and the door chime was going off. So I went out and found the ignition was in the auxiliary position but she was able to remove the key. This is my first CR-V so should I order a new ignition? Is this a problem with these cars? Any help or guidance is appreciated.
