ECON causes jerking?
Hello fellow Hondonians,
I purchased a brand new 2019 CRV AWD that had a jerking issue that occurrs during low speed deceleration. I found out that this vehicle has a CVT Transmission were you should never feel a jerk or shift of any kind because it's continous. After reaching 10k miles the issue got worse and worse. I took it to the dealer at 30k miles and they assumed it was a bad trany. They swapped it with a new transmission as it was under warranty. Few thousand miles later the jerk came back. Took it back to the dealership, had a service foreman ride with me wired up to record the issue. I was only able to replicate the jerk while ECON mode was on. The gentleman explained it was a software issue and nothing can be done on their part. I was told not to drive it in ECON mode which sucks *****. That's the solution. So I'm kinda pissed, waiting on management to get back to me with a better solution. Looking for insight on this. Wondering if others have had this issue. Not finding this to be a common issue on crvs but larger SUVs such has the Pilots and Ridgelines. Is there anything that can be done? What would you do in my shoes?

Econ mode is really bullshit. It will change the relationship between the throttle pedal and the actual throttle plate; the cvt will search for a higher range faster; the ac clutch will loose priority... at the end of the day it becomes a dog to drive . Leave econo off and drive it efficiently and your will have great performance and great fuel economy. In reality, econ mode is just a mind fu@k. Don't bother.
