My cousin is doing a b20VTEC . He has a B20z with a B16 head.
What specs should he torque the headbolts? (b16 head specs or b20 block?)
also where do the dowel pins go?

What bolts is he using? Dowel pins go at the end bolts, just put them in the holes that fit the head and go from there.

 

stock b16 headbolts

 

62ft lbs (i normally do 65)

 

DONT USE B16 HEAD BOLTS!! THEY ARE SHORT. USE GSR.

I have a set of arp heads studs for 20block and a b 16 head for $100

 

Does anyone know the right head tourque spects for a b20 vtec? I searched it up and different patters and different tourques came out? Thanks..

 

Headgaskets normally come with what torque settings you need, or at least all the ones Ive bought did

 

should prolly put ARP studs on there.
