valve adjustment or bent valve?

I recently did a valve adjustment on my 96 civic with a b18b swap. The valves were ticking pretty loud but its even louder now since ive done the valve lash adjustment. I ran into one problem with the valve adjustment though i did all the cylinders in the correct order and they all worked out perfect until i came to cylinder 2, i could not get the feeler gauge to fit though the exhaust valve at all. Im gonna try doing the adjustment again this sunday. Is there a chance that maybe my exhaust valve on cylinder 2 could be slightly bent or what could it be? please help

did you use the right gauge size?
also, are you sure that cylinder 2 was proper aligned? if it's not exactly at tdc then you will not feed the gauge through.
