Re: temp guage goes to "h"
could the smoke from my exhaust still be white but not have a bad head gasket?
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
okay so i just replaced the fan switch, coolant temp senser, lower radiator hose and replace coolant. STILL going past the "H" and the fan still wont kick on. Also my exhaust is white but i checked under the oil cap and its not like a milkshake also i checked the dipstick and it dosn't have air bubbles or fluent in it. im thinking i need a thermostat now because i just reread the post mmy two hoses are different temps. HOPEFULLY that solves my problem.. :scared:
if anyone has had this problem please help |
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
oh yeah now my heater air is cold
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
drain your oil and look in there for coolant.
does it drive funny or not as good as it used to? this went from a possible rad thing to a HG. oh and stop driving it or you'll have bank of milling to do on that head. |
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
if you dont have coolant in the system the heater will not blow hot.
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
well i just drove again and the heat was warm and i felt the hoses and one is scalding hot and the other is freezing im thinking i need a thermostat. il get one today and tell you guys what happens
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
a cold radiator hose is caused by a bad thermostat not opening up. replace it..
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"

this is probably the problem. do you have a 12 mm deep socket on a 3/8 drive and a 6 inch extension (also 3/8 drive ) and a 3/8 ratchet? this is the easiest way to bleed it. a 12 mm wrench works okay too

Re: temp guage goes to "h"
you see the thermostat housing you removed to replace the thermostat? (thats actually called the water outlet) that part the hose goes onto. but okay right down there is a funny looking nut with a nipple o it. kinda looks like an axle grease port on diesel chassis...see what i'm talking about
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
loli dont really understand... is it by the thermostat housing?
|
Re: temp guage goes to "h"
wait is it right next to the upper radiator hose?
