Sputtering while starting engine
My '95 coupe has been having a hard time starting up lately. When I start the car, it starts, however, it feels like it has a rough idle and feels like it's going to die. So I have to press on the accelerator so that the car can break out of it's sputtering and then the car idles just fine.
Took it to a mechanic and he said that I need a tuneup. Okay, so I do that. He replaced my spark plugs with new ones, new wires, distributor cap, rotor, cleaned out the carbon that was in the manifold, and put in a new air filter.
Problem is, with all of that done, it still does the same thing. It can't be my battery or anything because I have a new Optima yellow top and I had that checked along with the alternator as well.
Does anyone have any solution to this?
