This is actually for a Toyota Tacoma but the same thing could happen to any car so we can just pretend it is my EJ6.

My EJ6 (tacoma) was off the road for about three months and I went to use it the other day and when I started to drive it, it was spitting and sputtering and it had thrown a CEL for an O2 sensor.

Things I have done to try and solve the problem:
1. I put methyl hydrate in the gas because I thought there may have been water in the gas but that did not solve the problem
2. I pulled the O2 sensor which also did not solve the problem
3. Gas filter was pretty resricted so I replaced that

Also the engine only really spits and sputters when it is under load e.g. When under light throttle under 2000 rpm it does not spit or sputter, but once over 2000 rpm it does. It also S&S under heavy throttle at any rpm. When revved in neutral it revs fine until about 2800-3000 rpm and then it S&S.

Any ideas would be great or if anyone has encountered a similar problem and what they did to fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thx
