Ok heres the deal. I just picked up a 96ek DX hatch for cheap yesturday and I'm having some problems. Here they are.
1. The speedo is not working at all nor is the odometer or the km counter.
2. Check engine light is on so I ran a jumper wire to check for codes and all I get is a solid cel. When I turn the key to the on position the cel comes on for 3 seconds, off then on again for good. Solid CEL.
3. Idle is hunting (up down)after car warms up which is probably the eacv but not sure.
The car drives alright but has issues. If I reset the ecu by pulling the neg terminal on the battery the cel goes off but when I signal a lane change it comes back on. Wierd. What do you all think. Fucked ECU perhaps? Any help is greatly appreaciated.
