u get what u pay for...i'd shoot for some Del Sol seats or Integra seats for that price!

EGlovr 08-13-2004 09:19 AM

id rather get some rsx seats than those cheap "factory variants"

Re: racing seats??? (JDMisGOOD)

If you really want a racing seat @ around that price checkout sparco sprints or sparco speeds.

Econo'Box 08-13-2004 09:24 AM

Re: racing seats??? (jolt-tsp)

rn't sparcos cheapest seats still like $300 each?

jolt-tsp 08-13-2004 09:27 AM

Re: racing seats??? (tabrisakakaoru)

Sprints ~ $200, Speeds ~$260

These are non-adjustable racing seats, meant specifically for racing.

If you're looking for an adjustable back street/racing seat, then I'd shoot for some del sol's.

Edit: Actually you're right, you'll need the brackets too (~$100)

Econo'Box 08-13-2004 09:36 AM

Re: racing seats??? (JDMisGOOD)

I wish i could sew good enough to do that. That would save me a crapload of money.

Re: racing seats??? (jolt-tsp)

i have a similar set of those seats in the bottom link with the mugen emblem on them i didnt pay for them but... they are the most comfy seats ive ever sat in... and i would not go with a sparco sprint or speed unless you want to be sitting straight up stuck in your seat 24/7.... but for around the same price you can get like gsr leathers if you can find em... id rather have the leathers but those seats are a good bang for the buck too

Re: racing seats??? (tabrisakakaoru)

Ive sat in some tenzo R seats and they are pretty comfortable, they are alot more stiff. The ones to get are seats with the huge bulge on the seat where the bottom of your knees touch. Those are really comfortable.

I don't think it's that easy. Aren't the Del Sol seas glued down in the corners and sides where it makes the bucket shape? If so, you would also need a way of getting the material to stay down in those areas.

Do you REALLY think genuine Mugen seats would sell for $300 new? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif They're fake, and it's fine if you buy them, but do NOT believe that you bought authentic Mugen seats if you get these.

what real seats are on there for cheap post the link if u have one

Daniel 08-13-2004 10:36 AM

Re: racing seats??? (tabrisakakaoru)

Just FYI, here's a real Mugen seat: http://kingmotorsports.com/product.asp?product=195 https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

And I've never looked into buying aftermarket seats, so I don't know what your choices are except for a few expensive brands. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif However, I currently rock del Sol seats in my EJ8. They bolt into any '92-'00 Civic and feel great! I bought them off of famed H-T member Katman, and they arrived in superb condition. Hell, they even smell good! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif I, like some others, highly recommend these because they're relatively cheap; you can find them in EXCELLENT condition if you shop around (like I did); and they're OEM quality and allow you to retain the plastic covers on the base of the stock seat. Check out my webpage for pics.
