No spark

Installed a time-sert into my buddy's 94 civic 1.6. Installed no issues and fired right up. Noticed an issue with a plug wire and pulled it out while running. Obviously engine misfired slightly but then completely died which I thought was odd. Wouldn't start back up . Found plugs to be fuel fouled and changed them. Checked for spark from wires and from coil and no spark now. Checked all fuses under hood and under dash-all good . Didn't have my voltmeter so couldn't test for power to the distributor. Is it possible the ICM crapped out when I pulled the plug wire? What else should I test?

I, literally, just did this less than two weeks ago. Same issue. The problem was the coil.

I learned from this post, never to pull a spark plug wire while running.
