GSR IM Gasket on Skunk2 Manifold= Vacuum Leak?

Has anybody else tried this? Did it result in a surging idle? Also if i elimnated the coolant lines from the IACV would it cause RPM's to surge? I'm talking bouncing to 3.5K Consistently.

i have a skunk2 with gsr gasket there was no leak. it sound like you have a vacuum leak some where. are your vacuum hoses all hooked up correctly?

make sure there arent any holes where senors are supposed to be. Check the entire manifold for ANY holes (screw holes/hoses).

I don't have the FPR hooked up to the manifold....could that be it?

but it is capped off on the manifold

I changed my TB Gasket which was ripped...but still no improvement. Also...when i disconnect the IACV while the car is running the idle changes. Could my IACV be bad? The only other thing i could think of would be the Intake Manifold Gasket not seated right.

Problem fixed!!! Thanx for tryin to help. It was my FITV after all. If you are having a similiar problem on your OBD1 car i suggest you check this and make sure its screwed in and clean.
