Engine stopped on highway (solid cel)
On the way home from a 300 mile road trip. About 250 miles out my engine stopped. I checked for spark and didn't have spark.
I narrowed it down to two causes:
my dizzy finally took a splat
or m timing belt broke while driving and bent a valve. And won't spin the cam which is why I'm not getting spark when I check
you guys ideas? I'm still out here stranded typing on my phone
thanks all.

Bump, got home and had to push the damn car intoa nearby gas station
found an old thread saying that a Solid CEL can be caused by a main relay, or the ECU
i guess im gonna have to get AAA and get the car towed back home

A solid CEL just means you have a code stored. Until you pull the code and figure out what the code is related to the Check Engine Light is just that, a LIGHT.
BUT, when i attempt to jump the 2 pin connector to check the light, it doesnt blink, it stays solidly lit
thats what i meant
thats what i meant
I replaced it and viola my problem was solved..
See if you can try another ECU out.
GL!
my ecu is stock, not chipped,
the only thing i have done to it is a manual swap, cut rp17 and bridge rp18, cant remember which.
did that about 8 months ago,
