emergency break question
 

i searched couldnt find anything.

anyways i have a 99 civic ex and im doing a rear disc conversition. do i need the si emergency break cable instead of the ex one?

Yes, doesn't neccessarily have to be from an Si though, just a civic or integra with rear disc brakes.

yeah, any civic from 92-00 and integra 94-01 with rear disc brakes will do.

Yes because the 99 EX ebrake cable clips are different, they will only fit on drum brakes and not rear disc brakes.

ok, got the cables from the honda dealership.

the si brake proportioning valve is necessary in the ex model?
or are they the same?

Its supposed to be the same across all 6th gen civics, but if you want to confirm just call your local honda dealer and have them cross reference the part numbers. if they match they're the same, if not theres a difference.

another question before i order my lca im using a 94 gsr trail arm on my 99 ex civic, but is it ok for me 2 use the LCA for a civic or integra? thanks

They are not the same, but swapping the PV is not necessarily necessary...
The SI PV is the same as for the Hatchback CX/DX: 46210-S04-902
The EX PV is: 46210-S04-962

... unless, of course, your EX is ABS...

JasonGhostz: i heard that usuing the ex could cuz ur rear disc to lock up. thats y im trying to make sure but since the cx/dx and si pv have the same number it should be all good.

concidering this is a small project im taking my time with it.

If my trail arms are abs it wont matter right? and do i need to switch the caliper brake hose? (trail arm is off a gsr/my car is a 99 ex coupe)

It wont matter if your rear disc swap was off an ABS vehicle. You will need to swap the rubber flex hoses, the ones for rear disc brakes are different.
