Compression Ratio Question for EX
 
how do i mess with the compression ratio for Civic 99 EX?
I want to increase it

well other than buying higher comp. pistons which is the best way to increase compression. you can also get a thinner head gasket or mill the head which i recomend not doing b/c not many shops will do a great job on that.

just the pistons will do? or do i need rods too?

how do i know if the ring is worn down and needs replacement?

Just replace the pistons u shouldnt really hafta replace the rods unless u really want to but yours should hold up well... But for higher compression take ur metal gasket and remove the middle layer then u get a thinner headgasket thats the cheapest way to go unless u go n buy a thinner headgasket. But basically pistons to raise the compression and some of the other stuff that people here already suggested.
